I have continued my interest with digital citizenship by attending a recent workshop by Robyn Treyvaud at UWCSEA East Campus called Citizenship & Resilience in the Digital Age … A Common Sense Approach. It was a full day on a Saturday which allowed us time not only to explore the great resources available through Common Sense Media, but also other resources to support the journey toward impacting our student’s growth in (digital) citizenship. This workshop was reflected within Storify: Citizenship and resilience in the digital age. The main ‘walk away’ was that digital citizenship is the business of the whole school community, with all members – leadership, teachers, students and parents – needing to be involved with a ‘whole school approach’ and not as an adhoc lesson here or there.
